Back in the day the only way to thank customers for their business was to do giveaways.  Blotters were often one of the types of giveaway and used to blot excess ink. This is a great piece advertising calendars is from the 1930s . This blotter was given away by  J. B. Pearson Company, 65 Bedford St., Boston who was a retailer that carried the Acme Coats. To great images of young men in stylish coats.  The 1930 calendar goes across the top. Button on the side holds the various colored blotter pages inside.   A little edge wear on the blotters but celluloid mint. Extremely nice graphics
