ORIGINAL US ARMY BURLAP CAMOUFLAGE HELMET - OUTSTANDING HELMET

Description

1950’s/early 1960’s Burlap camo helmet. Everything is original to this helmet as it was found. Outstanding condition on a rarely encountered original burlap camo helmet. Chinstrap marked with laundry number in 2 places so further research is possible. Liner has V groove cut into rear for unknown reason.
Westinghouse CAPAC Liner has a 1955 dated neckband and sweatband dated 1953. Liner is stuck solid inside and after a few careful attempts to remove, I felt that further attempts would damage something so I’m leaving as is. The liner paint from what I can see sticking out is pebble OD green and looks original and in beautiful condition. Peeking in on the shell from the side, I can see that the shell is painted silver which is old and worn to the condition of the rest of the helmet.
