    Description

    Here's a rare vintage blotter from the days of the pen and ink well.  From Johnstown, Pennsylvania, this blotter advertised the ultimate in auto detailing from the "Auto Laundry".  It measures 6" x 3 1/4" and is in very nice shape for being nearly 90 years old.  The lettering is clear and there's no fading.  Careful handling and appropriate pressing behind glass or enclosed in plastic will insure that it lasts another 90 years.  This is a classic, common in the day when it would sit on a desk or table, readily available to pat dry the ink from a writing pen.  It was also an openly visible reminder of the service at the Auto Laundry!   A fine specimen of the times, ready for an avid collector.  From a smoke free, pet free home.  Thanks for your interest.     59
